Introduction to Sea Kayaking

1 Day course / 9am – 4.30pm
Ratio 1:4/2:6

NEVER KAYAKED BEFORE? INTERESTED IN THE MORE TRADITIONAL SEA KAYAKS?

This is the course for you. We’ll start right at the beginning. Beginning our day with some basic trip planning we’ll find somewhere very sheltered to learn all the fundamentals in the safety of flat, calm waters. We’ll then venture out on a short guided journey to put these skills into practice. We’ll endeavour to find a secluded spot to stop up for some lunch before returning. We also focus on the specific skills needed for sit-in sea kayaks such as edging or leaning the boat to turn and how to use a spray skirt.

LOCATION:

We start the day at our HQ in Little Newcastle, Pembrokeshire, Wales (Full address will be sent on booking). Our exact paddling location will be decided on the day to allow for the current weather conditions but with Pembrokeshire’s spectacular coastline and wildlife, we can guarantee you won’t be disappointed wherever we end up.
